Caloundra Aerodrome Paves Greener Future

The Caloundra Aerodrome recently installed a six-kilometre all-weather perimeter track using 3000 tonnes of used asphalt rubble, sourced from local road upgrades.

The savings resulted in over $75,000 in disposal fees, $6000 in purchase costs plus significant fuel, transport and wages savings. And avoided 2400 tonnes of carbon emissions which is equivalent to taking 1200 average sized Australian vehicles off the road!

Are you disposing of material that could be valuable for another business? Could you use material that another business is sending to landfill?
