Support the Race, Grow Your Place: Join SCM as a Local Business Partner
Participant numbers are looking great for the annual EVA Air Sunshine Coast Marathon Festival on August 3, 2025. Total attendance for the 2024 event surged to 26,539, up from 20,459 in 2023, reflecting the festival’s appeal to both locals and visitors from across Australia and overseas. It provided a major economic uplift to the Sunshine Coast region, injecting nearly $9 million into the local economy and we hope this trend continues.

While the event is based in Alexandra Headland, Council is working with marathon organisers to bring people back over the hill to experience Mooloolaba through communications, public activations, and promotion of local business.
