A wetter than average summer has been forecasted with the long-range forecast for January to March showing above average rainfall is likely (60 to 80% chance) for large parts of Eastern Coastal regions including the Sunshine Coast.
Warmer than average days are likely across large parts of the country and warmer than average nights are very likely across almost all of Australia with an increased chance of unusually high overnight temperatures nationwide.
With these warmer than average temperatures, high intensity storms will become more likely and frequent. Due to this, it is imperative that your site is prepared for storms and predicted rainfall. This includes ensuring your site is suitably stabilised during Christmas shutdowns.
