Proposed planning scheme amendment and planning scheme policy amendment released for public consultation

Council is proposing an amendment to the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014 and Planning Scheme Policies, relating to:
  • Additional South East Queensland Regional Plan 2017 (SEQRP) Sites and Other Zoning Matters; and
  • the Planning Scheme Policy for Development Works.
The Additional SEQRP Sites and Other Zoning Matters Amendment proposes to amend the zoning and local plan provisions relating to specific sites located at Bli Bli, Chevallum, Forest Glen, Landsborough and Yandina. The proposed amendment has been prepared in response to changes to the Urban Footprint under the SEQRP and to better reflect existing development approvals or desired future land uses.

The Planning Scheme Policy for Development Works Amendment proposes to refine and update the standards and specifications for the design, construction and delivery of new development asset infrastructure such as roads, drainage, landscaping and local parks.

The proposed amendments are currently subject to public consultation until Friday, 4 December 2020.
