Amendment No. 18
Site Specific (Including SEQRP Bring Forward Sites)
and Operational Matters

Council adopted the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014 Amendment No. 18 – Site Specific (Including SEQRP Bring Forward Sites) and Operational Matters on 15 March 2019.

The purpose and general effect of the amendment is amend the zoning, local plan provisions and associated mapping to respond to changes to the urban footprint under the ShapingSEQ South East Queensland Regional Plan 2017 and to better reflect desired future land uses for specific sites in Beerwah, Bli Bli, Glass House Mountains, Glenview, Mapleton, Palmwoods and Yandina.  

The amendment also includes other operational amendments to improve the clarity and efficiency of the planning scheme, relating to dual occupancies, secondary dwellings, telecommunication facilities, landscape buffers, reconfiguring a lot, local parks and parking rates for multiple dwellings and rooming accommodation. 

The amendment took effect on and from 1 April 2019.
