Public consultation on proposed planning scheme amendments

The following proposed planning scheme amendments are subject to public consultation until Friday, 6 July 2018.
 
Site Specific (Including Shaping SEQ South East Queensland Regional Plan Bring Forward Sites) and Operational Matters Amendment
 
To better reflect desired future land uses and respond to the revised urban footprint under the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2017, Council is proposing an amendment to the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014.  The proposed amendment  includes changes to zoning, local plan provisions, and other mapping for particular sites. The amendment also includes other operational amendments to improve the clarity and efficiency of the planning scheme.
 
Development Control Plan 1 Kawana Waters (Caloundra City Planning Scheme 1996) Amendment
 
To reflect the provisions of Temporary Local Planning Instrument (Kawana Waters Town Centre) No. 3 2017, Council is proposing an amendment to Development Control Plan 1 Kawana Waters. The proposed amendment includes changes to the planning and development framework for the Kawana Waters Town Centre.
 
During the consultation period, a copy of the proposed amendments and explanatory material can be viewed and/or purchased at Council’s Development Information Counter at 10 First Avenue, Maroochydore and also at Council’s administration buildings in Nambour and Caloundra. The proposed amendment can also be downloaded from Council’s website www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/planningscheme
