Option 2 - Four hour parking (4P), 7am–5pm
Foreshore side only
Perceived advantages
Eliminates legal long‑term vehicle storage.
Retains overnight parking opportunities for residents and visitors.
Encourages turnover for recreational and visitor use
Supports equitable kerbside allocation.
Perceived disadvantages
Camping or vehicle storage may shift to the residential side.
Reduces the amount of unrestricted parking for resident overflow.
Option 3 - Four hour parking (4P) at all times
Residential and foreshore sides
Perceived advantages
Eliminates long‑term vehicle storage along the entire street.
Likely to reduce illegal camping and improve visual amenity.
Reduces anti‑social behaviour and increases short‑stay opportunities.
Perceived disadvantages
Significant impact on overflow residential parking.
No opportunities for overnight visitor parking.
