Landslip repair - First Bay, Coolum

Dear community members,

Thank you for subscribing to project updates on the landslip repair works at First Bay, Coolum.

Installing pedestrian crossing islands

We will be installing precast concrete pedestrian traffic islands at the existing pedestrian crossing located at Mona Vista Court on David Low Way on Friday June 6, 2025.

To do this safely, we will have traffic control in place from 3am until 8am on Friday 6 June, with one lane traffic for both directions.

What to expect

This may result in minor traffic delays north bound and south bound along David Low Way.

Please cooperate with directions from traffic controllers for your own safety and the safety of others.

All care will be taken to minimise disruption as much as possible.

Due to the nature of the works and machinery operation on site, nearby residents and visitors may experience some noise for limited time.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these works are delivered safely and effectively.

Please share this with family and friends who may be interested in the landslip repair works and encourage them to subscribe.

We have worked with the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) to secure funding to repair this landslip and other damaged civil assets with assistance from the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

This is one of 15 landslips across the Sunshine Coast repaired using DRFA funding.
